Completed in 2012, the pole barn houses the Clouthier Lumber artifact collection, a livery collection including an old carriage and working and applied hit-and-miss engines(1). This barn is constructed of a pole skeleton fully enclosed with lumber. (1) A hit-and-miss engines is a type of four-stroke internal combustion engine that was conceived in the late 19th century and was produced by various companies from the 1890s through approximately the 1940s.
