SCHOOL YEAR-END DAY TRIP - COME EXPLORE THE PAST AT THE HERITAGE VILLAGE

LEARN ABOUT TURN OF THE CENTURY LIFE THROUGH HANDS-ON EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS:
-Experience class in a one-room schoolhouse
-Help with daily household chores at the Leder House gardening, wool carding , spinning;
-Learn about the importance of metalworking in the Blacksmith Shop
-Visit the Molson House and wash clothes;
-Logging was a huge part of Early Upper Canada, stop and visit at the Logging Shed;
-Meet our French Trapper and discover the early life of a fur trader;
-Tour the Train Station;
-Discover the working of a hit and miss engine;
-Visit the Stable and the Carpenter Shop and see how early household items are made;
-Gain an understanding of how life in the past relates to present day living;
-Aboriginal drumming, singing & smudging;
