Members of the David Thompson Voyageur Brigade Society have canoed many of David Thompson's survey routes. The objective of the Brigade's Society is to paddle rivers of historical significance from British Columbia to Quebec and arrive in Ottawa for the 150th birthday celebration on July 1st. The trip begins on June 1st at Fort St. James, BC and will consist of paddling 16 fur trade rivers through BC, AB, Sask, Man, Ont and Que to arrive in Ottawa on Canada Day 2017.
The members will offer an opportunity for your family to have a ride in the Voyageur Canoe. Later the members will retire to the Petawawa Heritage Village for a rest before pressing on to Ottawa.
